Our first full day in Puglia and the sun came out to say buongiorno! It was great to start getting out and about. Today’s visit was to Cisternino. It was great to see Lucia again, the wonderful woman who sold me a a great pair of Birkenstocks last year. 

We’re here much earlier this year because the trullo where we stay is getting booked up earlier and earlier. It is noticeably cooler in May than in June or July…
