On the trail

Al and I were riding a favorite bike trail this morning and we stopped for a mini picnic.
After we ate a power bar and had some water, I happened to look down just as I was getting back on the trail. 
This lovely little amphibian was looking back at me, just peeking out of a crack in the pavement!!
It was a beautiful morning and a sweet encounter.
