Dandelion
There seems to be a lot of dandelions (Taraxacum) around this year. Although regarded as weeds by many, they are rather pretty. The recent trend towards leaving areas unmown and for rewilding probably has given them more of a chance to thrive. It is a British native perennial plant and a welcome source of pollen to many insects. In days gone by, my father would have gone to great lengths to stop dandelions and daisies from growing in our lawn.
In the extra is some Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) of which there is also plenty to be seen at this time of year.
