Lake Vyrnwy
Love, love, love these bank holiday weekends. We visited Lake Vyrnwy this Sunday as it was the best of the 3 days forecast-wise for the weekend. After visiting the gym and watching the coronation yesterday, I needed to get out of the house so we headed out with our bikes again. This time we put Chris's in the boot and mine folded on top and managed to get them both in fine.
It was quiet when we arrived and we parked by the water sports place and cycled clockwise around the lake. This was a good decision as the other way would have been uphill for a lot of the 11.5 miles. After some lunch, Chris suggested doing it all over again as it was still early, so we did! It was busier in the afternoon but still really enjoyable and the weather held for the whole day. We cycled 23 miles in total - further than last week but it was a much easier route. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for somewhere flatish to cycle but it was all on roads so probably not good for youngsters but ok for beginners as I felt very safe.
