Sad day for customers
T and I went to pick up some furniture for our new office from the NatWest bank. This branch closed a short while ago, but even while we were standing around among the ruins, an old man came in clutching a bag of coins to pay in. Fortunately we were able to direct him to the Post Office.
CS and I both had accounts at this branch, and both remembered a character called Ambrose who sat behind the remains of the counter in this shot. We wondered where he is now.
Back in the surgery, we got a team of people to help manoeuvre three oval tables, a desk and two chairs into the other room. I've left them there so that the team can decide what exactly will go where.
Final visit of the day was to a delightful man and his aunt, in a quaint cottage. The aunt gave me a lift home afterwards.
