Closed

The 78 freeway, a major east west thoroughfare, has been closed eastbound since torrential rains on 15 March opened some significant sinkholes in the roadway. Crews have been working night and day since then, except when interrupted by more rain storms, to repair this vital transportation link. Seeing as how we live just off the road onto which all the traffic is being diverted and have to travel it to go just about anywhere, it has been a huge inconvenience. I did hear this morning that they are planning to reopen the 78 this week. It cannot come any too soon.
