Day12: Ravenna, Italy

Another hectic day off the ship visiting what could have been number1 competitor to Venice but unfortunately the town is now 10 kilometres from the sea. Conversely it has also sunk circa 1 metre so raised floor have been put in many of the buildings of note including Cathedral, Basilicas….

And for something completely different my blip today shows one of the many breakwaters managing the sea adjacent to our cruise ship.
