The Chickens Didn't Cross the Road

Thankfully.  Our street isn't really busy but they drive way too fast on it.  My cross road neighbor's hens are free range and oh my, do they range but they do seem to stay on their own side.  Of course this reminded me of those silly chicken jokes kids learn...endless variations.  Like, "Why did the chicken cross the road?  She thought it was an egg-ellent idea!"    Groan...  Chilly morning with a skim of ice on the birdbath but it will warm up nicely.  Our beautiful streak of weather continues.
