My Nest - KEEP OUT!

We confused the cat this morning by getting up as early as she did! We were off to Trentham Gardens for their early opening time for International Dawn Chorus Day. A 4.30am start.....

It was busier than the previous 2 years. Probably due to the arrival of a certain furry mammal - beavers, and a higher profile marketing campaign this year. I suspect many folks would have been disappointed about not seeing the beavers. I was disappointed that the wonderful wildlife that is already here and is quite visible wasn't the main focus. 

Around 7am the place went very quiet on the human front so we enjoyed that hour  or two before the regular visitors arrived.

I spent the rest of the day in the garden painting an pottering. It has been the warmest day of the Spring so it was worth making the most of.
