I've noticed the Heron stalking the river bank several times just recently and he was there again this morning.    This was taken from the open patio door as I knew that he would detect a slight movement and fly off, which he did just as I stepped out onto the patio to get a closer shot.
Lovely to know he's happy there and hoping I can get closer another time.
The Rook was oblivious to either of us I think, as he searched for chafer grubs or ant hills !!
