CannyScot's Day

Japanese Garden, Dollar

A showery day

We rounded off our four days break with a visit to the Japanese Garden near Dollar in the Hillfoots area below the Ochill Hills in Central Scotland. The Gardens were first been established by a Japanese lady in the 1900’s but by 1960 it had fallen into disrepair. It wasn’t until 2016 that work began to restore it. It certainly is now a beautiful Garden with many traditional Japanese small ornamental buildings.

These buildings were very useful when the anticipated cloudburst arrived so we were able to take shelter.

Our four days have been very interesting and also restful since everything was done at an easy pace.
