Perched Above the China Cloud

Nick had asked me to come lend a hand shooting a live show downtown this weekend. Steve Brockley was the main act with a couple other features rounding out the night. His performance was nothing short of amazing.

The venue, The China Cloud sits on top of an old restaurant in the bad part of China Town. There is no sign out front, just a big black metal door with a cloud painted on it and drinks are served in old jam jars.

The show didn't start till around 9 so we had a few hours to kill while the bands did their soundchecks. The roof, already littered with camping chairs, seemed like the ideal place for some wine before the show.
