We all got off
to a flying start
but, now that things
are falling apart,
the best bet
is to belt up and depart.

But who opened
that can of worms?
Who got out
the wooden spoon
and stirred the bubbling pot?

And just who said what?

It might have been me?
It could have been you?
Most likely it was Uncle Joe
who never does know
the right thing to say
when a family argument
gets under way.
