Why I Go

Why do I like the Rockies? Let me count the ways.....beginning at Cub Lake.

Cub Lake is gradually filling in with grasses and lily pads, and one day it won't be here. It will be a meadow instead.

This morning, however, the resident Stellar's Jay eyed my backpack greedily looking for gorp, and humming birds dive bombed my red jacket.

As soon as a little more snow melts, I'll be back in there at higher elevations. But for now, the trails at lower elevations sure do provide some pleasant hiking.
