BLEEDING HEARTS

Dicentra spectablis - Hubby went up to B&Q in Kendal this morning and came back with this lovely plant.  I've always liked them so it will make a lovely wee addition to our garden - as long as they don't get killed off of course.  


TRAINS
Welll apparently Transpennine have lost their franchise and from 28th May will now be run by the Governmen'ts choice of "last resort" whatever that means.  To be honest they deserve that but my main concern is with the travelling public.  It still doesn't address the issue of not enough train drivers, so only time will tell whether it will make a difference.

I do know that Avanti South West reduced the amount of trains coming from Edinburgh and stopping in Oxenholme.  There used to be 7 a day now there is only 2, early morning or late afternoon.  The other option is to get an Avanti train to Carlisle then wait 1.5 hours in Carlisle for a TRANSPENNINE train, which probably comes form Edinburgh if it decides to run.  Anyway I have written to our MP Tim Farron who immediately wrote  to Avanti and after many emaiils are now waiting for Avanti's reply.

EUROVISION
At least it will all soon be over.  This is definitely not for me, but for those that enjoy I hope you have a great time.
