Obelisk

The call came mid-morning - our house purchase has completed!

The original plan was to finish packing our stuff into boxes today, and drive down tomorrow to pick up the keys. But MrM was itching to get into the house, so a hastily concocted Plan B was put into action! Early evening (before the packing was complete) we drove down to Richmond to stay the night. It's about halfway, so not too far to drive to pick up the keys tomorrow morning.

After booking into our hotel we went out for a bite to eat, and on the way back I stopped to take a couple of shots of the obelisk. It has an interesting history.
