The old platform

Green gym at Great Linford today. The old railway that ran between Newport Pagnell and Wolverton is no more and is now a tarmac walk way. This platform has now been planted with shrubs.
70 odd years ago I used to travel on this railway to school. 2 coaches and a steam train that would wait if the driver saw people running to catch the train. The train also stopped at New Bradwell.
It was very busy with workmen going to work in the Railway Works as well as school children.
Needless to say I am the only one at the Green Gym who remembers the original layout!
