A lesson learnt
Another journey today, strangely another 210 mile round trip, this time to the south.
A while ago I went to the dealer where I bought my car second-hand as my key-less fob needed a new battery. Every so often, he said, a man who specialised in such things would come to the dealership and sort out any key-fob problems, so I turned up on the right day. He changed the battery, but the fob refused to work and he suggested that it needed re-programming, something which would have to be done at a Ford dealer. I was stupid enough to accept it, but then found that the nearest dealer was at Linwood, near Paisley.
I won't go into details, but I could have bought a car with what I was charged! OK, a long time ago maybe, but it was still very expensive. At least I learnt a lesson - never again will I buy a keyless car! Anyway, this dealership is my extra today.
On the way home, as the afternoon had become more and more sunny and warm, we bought a picnic and sat out at Tarbet, on Loch Lomond. It was glorious - the view is my Blip today. We hadn't long finished when it began to rain - I felt sorry for the folk boarding the boat for the next cruise! It didn't last long and when we arrived home we sat on the deck and roasted!
