The beholder's eye

I found this rather dapper Brown-toed Forest Fly  (Xylota segnis) today, sitting peacefully on a a leaf in the weak sunshine, which was unusual as these little hover flies are usually very speedy indeed.
Anyway having looked closely at the photograph I can see where he gets his common name from!
