Docks

Lydney has docks. Until very recently they were in a state of complete dilapidation. They were silted up, dock gates inoperable, dangerous and overgrown banks and it’s interesting history lost. A major investment of money has brought it back into operation for pleasure craft although some look in a desperate state. The tides here are the second highest in the world after the Bay of Fundy. The estuary is dangerous and needs local knowledge before venturing on to the water here. More details here
