Birthday Walk

My daughter M, who lives in Seattle, came up to Bellingham via train for a couple of days to have a belated birthday celebration with us.

On her "wish list" was a visit to Whatcom Falls Park, one of Bellingham's loveliest parks. It was especially nice to visit the park on a weekday, as schools are still in session and there weren't many people there.

I was mesmerized by the ever changing lace-like patterns the fast-flowing waterfall made on the rocks below (see extra). M asked me to take a photo of her adjacent to the falls, and I was happy to oblige -- but I can't seem to get that photo to upload! I tried several times.. guess I'm out of practice.
