I often hear the call and wonder what bird it is, then spend time looking without success. Today I was rewarded and very pleased to see such a colourful species.

Unfortunately in my haste I completely forgot to zoom in and could kick myself. Still not too bad a result. I used Topaz Gigapixel to upscale to my usual 1920px on the long edge for blip.

Named after the colours of Lord Baltimore's coat of arms and not the American city, they make a staccato chattering sound during aggressive encounters, which is what I heard. I didn't see what caused the upset.
