Hipped roof

Rain affected todays plans somewhat. Not the heavy, showery rain that many experienced yesterday and we avoided. This was cold rain from the east.

It looked set in for the day so we went for a walk this morning anyway. We passed this roof line adjacent to our allotments. I loved the pattern caused by the tiles and the filigree of leaves above.

I did get to the allotment this afternoon, it drizzled but digging kept me warm. My plan cut the allotment grass was thwarted by the rain.

Susan’s sister and brother in law arrived today to spend some time with Doreen and us. They’ve been on holiday somewhere north of Barnard’s Castle, travelling down to kent during the day
