Ennerdale

Wainwrights no 210 to 213 achieved today. Only one more to go.
We hadn’t intended climbing them this week because the weather didn’t look good. However today there were perfect conditions forecast. It was the hardest day’s walking we’ve done in years and tonight we’re both pretty exhausted but very pleased there’s only one to go. The problem with this walk is that you have to park and then walk in along a couple of miles of track, alongside Ennerdale Water and then of course you have to do it on the way back. This is because the track is not open to the  public and you can only drive along it with permission.
We completed Steeple, Scoat Fell , Haycock and Caw Fell. 11 miles.
The extra is LooseCanon by the summit cairns of all of them..
