Giant Seed Pod

I discovered a tree laden with these seed pods on Saturday. I did take some pics of it and kept one of the pods but I blipped the Monsanto rally that day.

I thought the pod on its own would make an interesting blip. It's about 40 cm long very dry and the seeds inside are rattling.

I don't know what the tree is, but I will go back there next week and get some more shots as it looked very unusual.
