Mixed bag!
As with most days, there is the good and not so good! On top of chronic illness and disability, my daughter has been suffering for the past 4 weeks with extreme tooth ache. Her face is swollen and the infection is not responding to antibiotics. She has been advised that there is an exposed nerve and that there is an infection ( we knew that !!) . She needs ‘root canal treatment’. The domicilary dentist has been out to her 3 times and has referred to Dental hospital. I phoned the said Dental Hospital to enquire as to when she might get an appointment. I had my diary at the ready, anticipating that it could be imminent. However I was told that it would be at least 12 months !!!! As if she doesn’t have enough to contend with!!! I realise that we are fortunate to have an NHS dentist and that many haven’t. We have decided to explore what can be done privately , due to complications she needs to be treated in a hospital environment. We have an initial consultation with a private Consultant on June 9th. Still seems a long way off but better than 12 months!! I have no idea of what costs of treatment might be but she can’t be left like this for 12 months!!!
Blip was taken looking up at a cheerful display in a shopping arcade in Worcester!
