Yep I am back. Just allowed too much into my life so had to let something go for a while so it was blip
Last night we had a fund raiser here in the village for the hurricane stricken area in the North Island. This town was badly flooded in 1986 so we all knew what it was like . We ran a quiz and auction and raised over 14 thousand dollars. It was a great thing to be part of . A joint venture by the churches in the area, it was great all to be working together. Myself and an other woman did the questions and that took us a whole day. We had 42 teams entered and had to turn people away.. People donated most generously to the auction and lots bid far more than the item was worth. We had things like three new chain saws, a truck load of lime, a load of wood , 8 legs of lamb and much more. I sure was tired when it finished last night but very elated at its success, a real gathering of the community.
