officially summertime

According to the calendar summer does not begin until the planets are aligned a certain way on June 21.
For me summer begins when I get my potted plants for the front and back porches. That happened yesterday!
An added bonus is the fact that my two daughters finance my plant purchases as a gift for Mother's Day, so whenever I see the blooms I think of them.
What a joy to step outside this morning and see this bit of sunshine on my front porch and to be reminded of my lovely girls!
