The Belt and Whistle...

...isn't the name of a local pub.

Today I made my debut as an (almost) after dinner speaker, although in fact it was an after breakfast appearance. It seems ages since I was asked to speak for a what used to be known as a 'Men's Breakfast' at All Saints' Church In Castle Camps. In these more enlightened days everyone is welcome so perhaps they should be known as 'Peoples' Breakfasts'.

The theme was my years serving the Queen both in the Army and the Metropolitan Police. So much to tell that I ran out of time and a few gems didn't get aired, but it seemed to go down very well.
