A walk through the woods
It's been a wonderfully sunny day and we were meeting up with friends at Blackbury Camp. They hadn't seen the bluebells in this area before so we decided to meet here and then go for a local walk. The bluebells were still looking good although not quite as fresh as when I last visited. They were very impressed with the open expanse of the flowers, see extra. There were many people walking around and several groups of photographers taking images of parents and their young children. After walking around the area we set off for a walk through the adjacent woods. These woods were also full of bluebells and the main blip is taken from here. We wandered into an adjacent area where the flowers were very vibrant and realised that they were an assortment of English and Spanish ones and probably hybrids. We continued on our walk eventually leaving the woods and skirting back round through another bluebell filled wood.
Once back on a small road we opted to take the shorter route back to the cars and go for tea and cake at the nearby Honey Farm. An enjoyable day and good to catch up with our friends.
