Sedge Warbler #43
After a long day yesterday, we looked at the weather today and decided that another walk was definitely on the cards. Initially we were going to go to Burton Mere, but there were roadworks at our junction on the M56 so we decided against it. Instead we popped over to Lunt Meadows in search of warblers. There were loads of sedge warblers screeching in the reeds but not really showing themselves much. Eventually we managed to see one that was not quite so hidden, and with a bit of a heavy crop to cut out some of the distracting background it sort of works I think.
The sun was shining all day and we had temperatures of 21 degrees which made it quite warm walking in the open. Not that I'm complaining at all - it was lovely.
I've spent the evening catching up on blip with the Eurovision Song contest on in the background - at least we weren't last - just next to last :)
Well done to Sweden - again!
Finally before I go to bed, a huge thanks for all the love you gave my blip yesterday which is now sitting on the first popular page. All the stars, hearts and comments are so much appreciated. I'll thank you all individually tomorrow if that's OK.
