Cycling Up Passo della Cisa

Today is the most difficult cycling day and rain is again predicted. We left at 6:30 am to give ourselves as much time to reach the top of the pass (3000 feet) before the severe weather started. The drizzle became rain as we started, but then stopped so we enjoyed a sunny break for the higher elevation. We rested at a little church, removed our rain gear and had a snack, then we were surprised by a herd of goats that came out of nowhere from the church! We followed them for a bit on our bikes…they were not concerned with us.
