The Green and the Blue
J’s sister departed early morning, and we then prepared for today’s “adventure”.
When J left hospital at the end of March we never anticipated that she would be able to visit our caravan lodge, Holly on the Hill - we haven’t been for nearly 6 months. But she has gained in strength these last two weeks, and thinks she will be able to get up the six steps, so we decide to give a day trip a go.
We left home around mid-day, and arrived just after 1 pm. We’d brought provisions, and so had lunch outside. It was hot out there - the deck is south facing and really catches the sun. In fact we got too hot. J spent the afternoon inside on the sofa having a long nap, with the door open to let fresh air in, as well as the sound of birdsong.
I went for a walk around the “park”. There have been a lot of changes, I took photos so J could see what has been going on. Then on returning I did a bit of sorting out. Fortunately the fridge and freezer didn’t have too much in them. The “tasty Lancashire” cheese won’t be so tasty after 6 months so I binned it and everything else.
We left about 6pm and had a good journey back home. J had really enjoyed being at Holly, but she was glad to finish the journey and be back home. She did well today.
Most of my photos are of J - for family and friends, not Blipfoto. So my image is of part of the rowan tree overhanging our caravan lodge. it’s in flower, alive with bees, and I love that fresh Spring green set against a blue sky.
