Hospital Park
At the end of our street, there is a lovely green space that overlooks the town. When we built our house in the 1980s, it was always referred to as “Hospital Park”, as it was meant to be reserved for a future hospital. Well, we won’t have a hospital built here - probably another town that will support a wider population - however, so far this park has remained…and we definitely want it to remain that way. Green space is so important.
Spent a lovely 2 hours with our friend whose wife has just died. We started looking through old photos - and suddenly 2 hours had gone by. Photos are really important to me - so I’ve offered to put a slide show together for the gathering on Saturday afternoon. Looking at photos of people/animals who have just died is a really important part of my grieving process - so I’m honoured to have this role.
A friend who has just retired and moved to Wānaka came for dinner tonight. Great to catch up with her and know she’s in town.
Thank you for your comments on yesterdays photo….once again, I haven’t had time to look at many of yours.
