Ullswater viewed from Glenridding

The shore just beyond the Ullswater steamers pier at Glenridding.

We left for home in the evening down the M6 with little problem except a heavy shower.  I don’t drive many motorway miles these days and very few in the dark.  I was very reassured that I coped so easily with the busy sections round Greater Manchester and remembered the correct lanes from M61 to M60 and the M66/M60 roundabout even in the dark.

Back home ready for the coronation instead of trying to get away early Saturday ( one of us is not good at early starts!)
