Lea Valley white water centre..

We went exploring. This place is great, even as an onlooker, and probably even better as a participant if you are very brave and quite fit. These guys in their little canoes (or kayaks, possibly called 'slipper kayaks') wer having a great time doing somersaults and generally messing about in the water.
We also saw South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service doing some water rescue training... and even some of them looked slightly nervous jumping in to practice their skills.
Walked along the canal, more people messing about in boats. Almost got run over by runners, and cyclists. And a family where the children on bikes seemed to be taking their parents for run... all good stuff for a Bank Holiday Monday with the sun shining.
