Riverbed

we had a couple of hours of much needed rain this morning , badly timed for when we were in the market stocking up on supplies. I've never seen the market with so few stalls , even out of season, so don't know if the weather meant some packed up early.  The area has a serious drought and there are measures in place to save water. We still have water on tap  but a nearby village has had supplies cut off and is restricted to just 1 1/2 litres per person per day. This was a nearby little stream which is now dry despite this mornings downpour.
