Submarine on a pontoon

U17 was built in 1970 and was in service with the German Bundeswehr from November 28, 1973 to December 14, 2010.
It is 48 meters long, 9 meters high and weighs 500 tons. Crew : 22 to 23 people.

In the past week it was transported by a Dutch company from Kiel via the North Sea to Rotterdam (Netherlands) and then via the Waal and Rhine to Sinsheim. There is a technology museum nearby, where it is then transported overland with a heavy transport.
