Overtaken

It looks as though we will at least have a football team to support next season, with this morning’s news that Yeovil Town Football Club has been taken over by a local Yeovil businessman and that he has also acquired the option to buy back the stadium and surrounding land from the local Council, who the previous owner sold it to.

It’s generally positive news, tempered with some concern that the new owner, who is a fan and has been sponsoring the main stand, has had a bit of a tendency to be very vocal on Twitter and to fall out with anyone who disagrees with him. Hopefully his new responsibilities will lead him to be more restrained.

While this news was being announced we were doing the Park Run, with Chris recording his third best time ever.

Apart from that it’s been a quiet day, pottering in the garden and having our regular walk with Chris this afternoon. 

The blip is one of the signs directing visiting fans to Street Football Club.
