A Long Way from Home

We had hoped to go to the Badminton Horse Trials last week but circumstances conspired against us so instead we booked for this weekend's Chatsworth International Horse Trials instead.  Thankfully the weather was better and after an enjoyable drive through the Peak District we turned up mid-morning.

Frustratingly the class sizes were not large and it was difficult to get round the whole of the cross country course.  Instead we focused on the more interesting jumps including this water complex by the river.  While obviously this is a New Zealand rider, hence the title, I don't know her name.  Frustratingly, while you can check on the entrants for the event the bib number is conspicuously absent from the information on-line.

The last event of the day was the Pony Club Games.  So much fun, I've added an extra just to show the commitment of these young people in the games.
