Kerry arrives mid-afternoon - catching me doing the dishes. We pick another salad and head off to Paulswell for pizza and Prosecco.

Niall arrives at the same time as us. Chris and Murray are there obviously, as are Will and Wilma. Aileen had been a witness at the civil partnership. Paul and Trinnie come fashionably late.

We eat. Confetti is thrown. And then it’s time to go to the pub in Edinburgh. A few other friends are there. We find seats, but it’s time to go home in a flash.
