MonoMonday: "Modern"

Arriving home after a holiday always means an early trip to the supermarket to top up the fridge, so that's where I went this afternoon. This gave me the opportunity to take a blip on ApolloFly's chosen MM topic of "Modern": self-scanning one's shopping as one goes round using these handheld devices.

Although I like playing with toys like these, now that I'm retired and have more time (or not!!) I generally prefer to use the services of a checkout operator - it gives one the chance for a quick chat and also (I hope) increases their chance of keeping their job!

The guy on the left looks as if he's having a bit of a struggle to work out how to use the system!
