Wisteria
I spent some time with the dawn, this morning, and when we'd had a goodly long chat I turned back to the house. The morning Sun was lifting the colours on the wisteria and my ol' mate, Leafy. The wisteria got a hard cut back earlier in the year, and it's caused the plant to throw out a lot of colour. It doesn't last long, and then I have the sweeping up, but while it lasts it is lovely.
Another damselfly exuvial* this morning, but I missed the emergence again. The rest of the day has been quite relaxed, although there was no No Mow May this year... we have plenty of nectar filled planting, and the wildflowers last year managed to cause quite a bit of trouble in the raised beds... so out came the lawnmower, I'm afraid.
If you've ever tripped over the tossed aside electric rental scooters that plague many cities you'll understand why I snorted a bit when I read this story. Apparently now we can expect to encounter electric trailers scattered all over the place too! Like the wire wheeled shopping trolleys of old... used and abandoned on every street corner and riverbed.
* an accidental typo, but hey, I'm a born and bred Bristolian, and we add an L to almost everythingl...
