Canal life

Walked along the canal and into Devizes, wander round and lunch and back. Such a lovely day and lots to see on the canal, geese and swans with young, heron and kingfisher.
Lots of boaters, cyclists and dog walkers.
Lovely church in Devizes but unfortunately it was locked.
Interesting to see a swan getting quite aggressive with a goose, until it attached its young ones. It actually picked up a gosling but dropped it when the adult flew at it. Then we had to get past the female and four cygnets on the path, bit scary when something that big is coming towards you hissing.
The highlight was spotting a kingfisher on the opposite side sat on a sign. Weather was so nice we had coffee sat outside at a cafe on the canal and then sat outside for an hour reading when we got back to site.
