Hindwell

I’m jolly chilly and the signal is poor.
Looking at the house and windows and surrounding scenery I was struck how much more connected to the fact I was. This is where Wordsworth and his wife Mary received the news that their son Thomas had died following a measles infection.
This is Hindwell Pool. It is considered to be of great significance. Holy well or not the whole area is steeped in layer upon layer of history.
The campsite is bliss. I’ve got it to myself (freezing) and I’ve been running around with the farm dogs.
My nose is SO cold.
I’m now wrapped in layers in my tent .. the dogs have retreated indoors!! It’s chilly!
