Another Bank Holiday draws to an end and with it the queues at Do-it-yourself stores and garden centres, likewise dwindle away. Usually these place are like the sets from a Western ghost town, but these annual holidays has an uncanny knack of drawing out the crowds to these retail establishments. I could never really understand the logic behind this phenomenon because surely people would be better served buying their goods beforehand and using this time to actually carry out the work.
This might be an observation by somebody who should be doing more with his time, but have you noticed there seems to be a strange symbiotic relationship with DIY stores and burger vans .
A long three month wait to the next one. Unfortunately we then begin the slippery trip into Winter.
