A filthy day

Cold from the start, with heavy grey clouds that sat low in the sky, with sudden downpours throughout the day.

South African buildings are just not geared for the cold but our offices are probably much better than the boys hostel at the school that has endless rows of windows and high ceilings.

Our funding appears to be planned for payment in the next few days but, to add insult to injury, we have been instructed to pay our care workers for the period they have been sitting at home. Not that I begrudge them the cash at al,l but it just makes the whole situation even more farcical. Although I don’t suppose our beneficiaries will see it that way, those that have survived without care that is.
