Hot Stress

Woke very late so by the time Rufus had enjoyed his walk, the morning was over.  Learning that it's my nephew's first GCSE written paper tomorrow - Biology 1 - and he's stressed about it, I spent all afternoon making a series of Revision Activity worksheets for him which sent via WhatsApp, will have given him the option of something constructive to do all evening.  Good luck to him and all young folk starting this stressful but thankfully short lived period in their lives.

I have stress too. Now that I am recovered from Covid, it's time to begin the last phase of my dental implant journey with a 3pm appointment tomorrow which is already making me feel nervous.  A year of my life seems to have been overshadowed by this tale of discomfort, but hopefully, I"m about to begin the homestretch.

My evening, after walking with Rufus again and then joining neighbours John and Janice for a lovely cold beer on their balcony at the end of this hottest yet day (30ºC), was quiet and mostly spent cooking then eating a late dinner, messaging family in the UK, and weeping while watching Tom Hanks in "Otto".
