We have lift off

JJ suggested MK this morning.  I suggested a walk around Harrold Country Park, and won.

Lots to see, including an Oystercatcher, which I said we couldn't possible see (or hear) so far inland.  Wrong. (see extra).  Mayflies, Damselflies, Demoiselle, Orange Tip butterfly, a flotilla of Mallards, another of Greylag.

Sadly no swallows, swifts or martins to be seen anywhere.  Not a cuckoo to be heard either.

I think I saw this heron before it saw me and I got several pictures but quite liked this one of it taking off.

Warmish with a cool breeze and plenty of sunshine.
