Standing Stones at Machrie Moor

After a very substantial breakfast, we decide to drive clockwise around Arran from Lamlash Bay.

It was pretty wet to begin with but the rain gave way to sunshine after a bit.

First stop, the whisky distillery at Lagg for coffee. It was a pity we weren’t ready for lunch as their platters looked very tempting. From here to Machrie Moor where we walking to a number of stone circles and these standing stones. This is the view looking north east.

We stopped at the Machrie tea room for a snack. Then, back to Lamlash via Brodick. Excellent day.
